Teach your dog cleanliness

Set objectives:
It is necessary to plan your actions and prepare the answers you will use to guide your dog. Before him ask for something, take a few moments to define your objectives and consider how the dog will be able to meet your expectations:
- What steps, if any, will be necessary? How can you encourage your dog if he succeeds?
- What mistakes might he make? How can they be avoided?
- At what stage will you consider the execution to be correct? How will you let your dog know?
Fortunately, you don't always have to do this, but it is beneficial to do this exercise as soon as you fail in an apprenticeship. As far as cleanliness is concerned, the objective is clearly defined: the puppy must eliminate outdoors, during outings that are in line with your working hours. You still have to think about the time frame necessary to achieve this result and at the intermediate stages.

Teach your dog cleanliness:
A common family strategy (all family members
behave in the same way) is an excellent initiative:
the dog learns more easily a unique code, and answers predictable and constant will help him to structure his universe and so his attitudes.

The strategy we believe is most likely to "deliver"
quickly a clean puppy, who maintains good relations with his master, consists of:
- be patient until the dog has good control (up to
three or four months), he is sometimes surprised by the urgency of their needs;- observe and detect the signs that indicate imminence 13 elimination, knowing that this occurs preferentially when the dog has just eaten, slept or played;
- then take it to the appropriate locations for disposal, identify the dog's preferred location (this is often a place in which it is not disturbed or inconvenienced by sounds or passage) and come back to it;
- do not distract him (he still prefers to play, and wait to delete) ;
- reward him as systematically as possible
when he's finished eliminating in the right place;
- do not come back immediately inside if he wants to play another one a little. If you come home immediately, while it expresses a great the joy of being outside, you sanction him in a way and he may delay his elimination;
- not to leave him alone: your presence reassures him, and he must be relaxed to eliminate;
- ignore excreta discovered after the fact, even if they are recent;
- do not clean them in his presence, and do not use bleach or ammonia-based products;
- interrupt it if caught in the act and drive it promptly to the place intended for that use; if it eliminates, well done!
Otherwise, do not comment.

Did you know that?
Associating the act of elimination with the order of elimination ("Pee!") allows as a bonus to teach the dog to do his business on command.

This learning is useful when the master's days
are timed or during a trip with his dog.
By acting in this way, you will promote the progress of the puppy as quickly as with any other method. You will also maintain his confidence and save energy and adrenaline by avoiding misunderstandings.
We are not followers of the newspaper, the mop, or any other device indicating to the puppy that he must eliminate in it. This technique has several disadvantages. She leads above all to a double learning process: you learn
first to the puppy to do in it, then you'll have to teach him....
not to be in it anymore! For the puppy, this attitude lacks clarity. Until he can read, he will not identify the newspaper of the day, which must be respected. Finally, and this is often

the most irritating, the puppy can memorize the place where the support is placed, which leads him to continue at the same place (marked by the attractive smell
of his urine), even after the
initial support for disposal. We assume that
if the puppy can learn to hold back and eliminate in a designated place, then he can learn to ask to go outside. He is, therefore, easier to teach him directly what he will have to then apply. One exception is to be noted: some dogs of small size use cat litter for long-lasting use, others to the balcony - but a balcony is no longer quite at its best inside....
